Features

termin.email covers scheduling from the first booking link all the way to multi-tenant operation for several customers. An overview of every feature:

Scheduling

  • Event types for one-on-one meetings, group bookings with a fixed headcount, and round-robin distribution across a team.
  • Availability as a weekly grid with exceptions for single days and time off from one date to another in one entry. On request termin.email blocks the public holidays of your German state by itself.
  • Double bookings are technically impossible: a database lock prevents two bookings on the same slot, not just an application-level check.
  • Doodle-style scheduling polls with confirmed participation via a double opt-in link.
  • A waitlist for fully booked group appointments — participants are notified automatically once a spot opens up.
  • Handover: appointments can be transferred in bulk to a colleague.
  • An embeddable booking widget for your own website.
  • Booking rules per appointment type: notice period, buffers, limits per day, week and month, and a deadline up to which guests can cancel or reschedule on their own.
  • Appointment types can be public, hidden or bookable through single-use links only. Each single-use link is good for exactly one booking, for example a job interview.
  • QR code for every public appointment type and for the profile page, as an SVG for printing on flyers and notices.

Video appointments

  • An automatic Jitsi Meet link for every appointment — self-hosted or via a public instance, no extra account needed for your guests.
  • Alternatively, a static video link, for example to an existing Zoom or Teams room.
  • BigBlueButton is coming in a future release.

Calendar synchronisation

  • Two-way CalDAV integration: bookings land automatically in your existing calendar. Presets exist for Nextcloud, the Hetzner calendar, mailbox.org and Posteo. So far the integration is tested against a CalDAV server of our own; we check it with your provider together when we set you up.
  • Busy times from the connected calendar feed back into availability checks.
  • An ICS calendar subscription for any common calendar application.

Automation & integration

  • A REST API with bearer token authentication, permission scopes and rate limiting, documented via an OpenAPI specification.
  • Webhooks for your own events such as booking, cancellation or rescheduling.
  • Two-factor authentication (TOTP) for user accounts, enforceable per tenant.

Multi-tenancy & operations

  • Multiple customers on a single installation, with strict data separation.
  • Its own branding and its own legal texts per tenant.
  • A statistics dashboard per tenant: bookings, no-shows, utilisation.
  • Bilingual throughout: German and English.

Privacy & accessibility

  • GDPR data subject rights built into the product: access, export and deletion per guest email address.
  • An automatic deletion and retention concept with freely configurable periods.
  • The public booking flow meets WCAG 2.2 at level AA. We checked all 55 criteria of levels A and AA one by one and published the report.
